Raquel Fornasaro Works

Artist Statement

"Born in São Paulo, Brazil.  Living in Boston, Massachusetts.

After having earned a BA in Advertising and Media from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), Fornasaro moved to the US where she attended the Fine Arts program at the Corcoran School of Art+Design in Washington, DC. Working with oils and image manipulation, Fornasaro creates narratives that questions the social understanding of our relationship with the space we inhabit, drawing the viewers through an humorous inquiry into the prospects of life. Fornasaro’s work has been shown in multiple venues including selected museums, the Boston City Hall, Boston University, Harvard’s Crossing Gallery, and MIT Media Lab."
